Horwitz-Zusman Child & Family Center
Counseling Services
We believe that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. We offer a variety of therapeutic approaches designed to meet you, your child, and your family exactly where you are.
Individual Counseling
Life can feel overwhelming when you’re carrying the weight of stress, anxiety, or life transitions alone. Individual therapy provides a private, non-judgmental space to explore your inner world. Whether you are looking to break old patterns, process trauma, or simply find more balance, we work collaboratively with you to build resilience and self-awareness.
Parenting Support
Parenting is one of life’s most rewarding—and exhausting—roles. We provide a supportive space for parents to troubleshoot behavioral challenges, navigate co-parenting, and strengthen their bond with their children. Our goal is to empower you with research-backed strategies and the emotional support you need to lead your family with confidence and calm.
Family Therapy
When one member of a family is struggling, the whole system feels the impact. Family therapy focuses on improving communication, resolving deep-seated conflicts, and creating a more harmonious home environment. We help families move away from "blame" and toward "connection," ensuring every voice in the room is heard.
Group Therapy
There is immense power in knowing you aren’t alone. Our therapist-led groups provide a safe community where you can connect with others facing similar challenges. Through shared experiences and mutual support, group members develop social skills, gain new perspectives, and find a sense of belonging that speeds up the healing process.
Play Therapy
For a child, toys are their words and play is their language. In our dedicated playroom, children use toys, puppets, and sand trays to "play out" their worries and experiences. This evidence-based approach helps kids develop problem-solving skills, emotional regulation, and self-esteem in a way that feels natural and safe.
Expressive Arts
Sometimes, healing requires more than a conversation. Our expressive arts sessions incorporate drawing, painting, music, and movement. By focusing on the process of creation rather than the final product, clients of all ages can bypass the "logical" brain to access and release complex emotions.
