Raizel is originally from Melbourne, Australia. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and research experience with anxiety interventions at George Mason University in Virginia. Raizel has eight years of community leadership experience in Northern Virginia as an educator and community organizer. There, she focused on young families, women, mothers and college age students fostering community, connection and empowerment. Raizel also worked with parents and children as a preschool director. This background has informed Raizel's passion in working with all ages across the life span from children and adolescents to younger and older adults as they seek new tools, self- actualization, and meaning. Raizel’s approach to therapy is influenced by Irvin Yalom’s existential psychotherapy and Rogerian person-centered therapy that values collaboration, non-judgmentalism, and presence.
