With more than 25 years of clinical experience at JF&CS, Dr. Wilson serves as Lead Psychologist in the psychoeducational evaluation program. She provides comprehensive evaluations to assess children’s cognitive, academic, and social-emotional strengths, as well as areas of challenge. Her work helps families and schools better understand how a child learns and what supports may be most helpful for success. Dr. Wilson has extensive experience evaluating children and adolescents with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia and other learning disabilities, anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and challenges related to emotional regulation and executive functioning. She is committed to a strength-based approach to assessment while also helping families gain a clear understanding of a student’s challenges. Dr. Wilson strives to help students feel comfortable and engaged throughout the evaluation process. She values collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in a child’s life. One of her favorite parts of the evaluation process is the student feedback session, during which she shares age-appropriate feedback directly with students to help them recognize their strengths, better understand their challenges, and learn practical recommendations to support their success.

Outside of work, Dr. Wilson enjoys taking fiddle lessons, making music with her family, and attending concerts. She and her husband also enjoy supporting young musicians by hosting touring bands in their home.
