Deena provides leadership and oversight for caregiver support programs, geriatric care management, the Brain Health Boot Camp and Music and Memory program. Deena also provides direct case management for low income elders and their caregivers.

Prior to joining Aviv Older Adults Services, she served more than six years in other JF&CS programs. While working in Career Services and Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Services, she provided program and grant management, community outreach, training and career counseling for a diverse spectrum of clients including older adults seeking employment.

Deena has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Mental Health, with a specialization in Organizational Development from California State University. Deena began her Atlanta career as the director of Counseling for a regional outplacement firm before building a successful consulting and coaching practice. She also worked as the Volunteer Manager for Senior Services North Fulton, supporting the needs of elders while managing over 400 volunteers, many of whom were active older adults. Deena specializes in collaborative program and leadership development, while focusing on respectful and caring support for elders and their families.
