Bio
Lauren Green is a Licensed Professional Counselor who began her counseling journey in 2009 as an intern at Dekalb Medical Center (now Emory Decatur Hospital). She holds a B.S. in Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University and a Master’s in Community Counseling with a Marriage and Family Therapy emphasis from Argosy University. Lauren has worked across inpatient, outpatient, and crisis intervention settings, including Peachford Hospital and the Georgia Crisis and Access Line, and has volunteered with MARR (Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences). She also brings extensive experience in early childhood education and has supported children and families in camp, school, and therapeutic settings.
Lauren works with children, tweens, teens, and adults, supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, self-esteem challenges, identity exploration, life transitions, and parenting concerns. Her approach is collaborative, person-centered, and solution-focused, blending cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and creative techniques such as play, art, and experiential activities. Lauren creates a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel safe, seen, and respected. She enjoys helping clients build confidence, emotional balance, and practical coping skills, all while keeping sessions approachable, engaging, and even a little fun.
