About Jessica Wilson, MSW, CDP Geriatric Care Manager
Jessica received her BA from the University of Michigan and MSW with a specialty in Aging from Hunter College in NY. She has worked in the field of aging for over 20 years in the states of New York, Michigan, and Georgia. She is most passionate about serving older adults in community settings and has worked at area agencies on aging, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, subsidized senior high rises, and Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities.
In addition to working with seniors and their families in the community, Jessica also has extensive experience working on the academic side of aging. At Emory University, she managed the Emory Senior Mentor Program, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (continuing education program for older adults), and a community learning and social medicine course at the Emory School of Medicine.
She is grateful for the experience she gained at Emory University in building relationships with community partners because it enables her to better serve the needs of older adults and their families as a Geriatric Care Manager. In addition to conducting assessments, creating care plans, and counseling families, Jessica also facilitates monthly caregiver support groups.
Jessica loves supporting older adults and their families. She is a fierce advocate for making sure their needs are met and ensuring their voices are heard.
