Bio

With more than 20 years of experience serving older adults, Deborah became Managing Director of Aviv Older Adult Services in June 2015, where she leads a comprehensive program including caregiver support, geriatric care management, friendly visiting, counseling, and Holocaust survivor services. She brought the One Good Deed friendly visitor program to JF&CS in 2016, building on her earlier work with the program at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta. Deborah also oversees JF&CS’s Bridge to Stability program, which provides a range of supportive services including case management, financial assistance, transportation, food assistance, and career support. Under her leadership, JF&CS is a core partner in AgeWell Atlanta, alongside Jewish HomeLife, the Marcus JCC, and the Jewish Federation, providing a central point of entry for services and community-based programming.

Prior to JF&CS, Deborah spent nine and a half years at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta as Manager of Community Planning and Impact and Project Director for NORC, leading community planning efforts focused on health, well-being, and financial stability for older adults and people with disabilities. She also previously served in leadership roles at Life Enrichment Services, Inc.

Deborah holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master of Social Work from Boston College, and an MBA in Human Services from Brandeis University.
