Rebecca Brown, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Director of Adult Clinical Services, where she provides clinical leadership while continuing to offer therapeutic services to adolescents and adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges.
Rebecca earned her Master’s in Social Work from New York University. Her clinical background spans diverse settings, including providing trauma-informed services to children and families within the San Francisco child welfare system, where her work emphasized family therapy, parenting support, and addressing the complex impacts of trauma. She also provided direct clinical care to adults in a New York City community mental health clinic, working with a broad range of clients, including individuals in active addiction and recovery. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Rebecca contributed to a program evaluation initiative focused on California state policy related to foster care support and safety, facilitating research to inform systems-level improvements.
In her clinical work, Rebecca meets clients with compassion and patience, focusing on their strengths and resilience while building a strong therapeutic relationship. Her approach is relational, person-centered and strengths based, integrating evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as mindfulness, play therapy and art therapy.
In addition to her clinical practice, Rebecca has extensive experience developing and facilitating community education and prevention programming. As the former manager of BeWellATL and Outreach for Shalom Bayit, she is a certified instructor of Youth Mental Health First Aid and Teen Mental Health First Aid and provides workshops for parents, educators, and professionals.
