Bio
Madeleine is a clinician and community educator providing therapy and psychoeducation to people across the lifespan. She specializes in relational issues including family systems, couple relationships, and intergenerational trauma.
She holds a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Mercer University, as well as degrees in Drama and English from the University of Virginia. Madeleine uses creative, experiential, and evidence-based methods to help clients access and nurture parts of themselves that have been cut-off, isolated, wounded, or unexplored. Guided by principles of interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), Madeleine emphasizes the importance of facilitating a whole-brain, whole-body healing experience. She incorporates elements of sand tray therapy, art therapy, narrative therapy, and somatic practices, always careful to center client needs and preferences.
For those struggling to maintain closeness or wellbeing in their most important relationships, for those battling issues of self-esteem and self-doubt, and for those who feel presently burdened by wounds in need of healing, Madeleine offers a safe, compassionate environment in which to cultivate insight and self-knowledge. She believes in the resilience of families, couples, and individuals and will work with you or your family to uncover and support your unique, inherent gifts.
