Bio
Dr. Janelle L. Jones (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She was raised in Indiana and attended Indiana University as a proud Hoosier where she received her Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology. Dr. Jones moved to Georgia to obtain her Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. During her master’s program she also obtained a graduate certificate in Gerontology from GSU’s Gerontology Institute. Dr. Jones attributes her love of learning about and working with older adults to her experience of being raised in an intergenerational household. Dr. Jones attended the University of Alabama where she completed her PhD in Counselor Education while obtaining a graduate certificate in Qualitative Research. Dr. Jones serves as the current President for the Association for Adult Development and Aging (AADA) and has been involved with this division of the American Counseling Association for years. In her spare time she enjoys attending concerts, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
