About Isabel Groedel, LCSW
Isabel Groedel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families in overcoming behavioral and emotional challenges. She is bilingual (English and Spanish) and is trained in EMDR and Emotion Focused Therapy.
Bio
Isabel has worked both in community mental health and psychiatric care settings providing individual, couple and family, as well as group counseling. While Isabel’s scope of practice is inclusive of substance use, eating disorders, anger management and domestic violence, she specializes in treating mood disorders, couples in distress, and survivors of traumatic experience.
While her theoretical and technical applications to therapeutic work are unique to each client, her overarching approach to therapy is mindfulness-based and rooted in a strong belief in and commitment to her clients’ intrinsic strength and wisdom. She views therapy as an explorative and collaborative process, one that illuminates roadblocks to well-being and helps clients imagine, attain, and sustain rewarding and meaningful lives.
