About Galina Tobin, Ph.D., LPC, RPT, CPCS Clinical Team Lead
Galina is a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Registered Play Therapist (RPT). She received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Georgia State University and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University.

Galina is a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Registered Play Therapist (RPT). She received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Georgia State University and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University.
Galina has over 10 years of clinical experience from both community agency and private practice settings and specializes in caring for children, adolescents, and their parents. Galina has advanced training in trauma and play therapy.
Galina fosters a deep caring relationship with her clients and families utilizing a client-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based approach that incorporates tenants from attachment theory and Adlerian theory. She believes play is a child’s primary means of expression and enters her client’s world through playfulness, creativity, and unconditional positive regard. With a belief that all behavior has a purpose and children and families are doing the best they can, Galina utilizes empathy and validation to strengthen parent-child relationship, promote healing, and empower change.
