About Betsy Frasier LCSW
Betsy Frasier specializes in dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and grief. She values the use of authenticity and humor in her work with clients, and believes the therapeutic relationship can be a primary driver in change and growth.

Bio
Betsy received her graduate degree in Social Work at the University of Georgia in 1997, after completing an internship at JF&CS. Following this, she worked as a case manager and intake coordinator for clients with psychiatric disorders. After completing a residency in depth-oriented psychotherapy and obtaining her clinical license, Betsy joined the counseling team in the JF&CS Dunwoody office in 2009, and has a private practice in Decatur.
In her work with clients, she uses the concepts of mindfulness to gain insight about thought patterns and behavior. She credits Carl Jung, Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle and Joseph Campbell as huge sources of influence in her work with clients. Due to her interest in working with trauma, she obtained training in EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She values the use of authenticity and humor in her work with clients, and believes the therapeutic relationship can be a primary driver in change and growth.
