ADHD in Children
ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders in children and is usually first diagnosed in childhood. The most common signs of ADHD are inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. ADHD can affect all aspects of a child’s life, and lead to additional mental health challenges including anxiety and depression. Early diagnosis and treatment can help with family, social and academic life.
ADHD in Adults
Many people are not diagnosed with ADHD until later in life. Common symptoms include difficulty with attention, organization, time management, impulsivity, and emotional regulation. ADHD can affect work, relationships, daily responsibilities, and overall well-being, and may occur alongside anxiety, depression, or other mental health conditions. An accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment helps adults better understand their strengths, manage challenges, and thrive at home, at work, and in their communities.
