Bio

Emily has worked in healthcare for over 20 years. Most recently she served as the Director of Palliative Care at Weinstein Hospice.

She started her career in the US Military where she earned her nursing license and several certifications. This also gave her the opportunity to serve many different cultures, populations, and religious backgrounds.

She moved to Georgia, and worked in the field of Oncology for many years. During this time, Emily assisted in the coordination of additional services for many of her patients including outside providers, social workers, and home health care. Emily also spent many years as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, serving as the chair for District 6 of Fulton County. It was during this time that Emily fell in love with nonprofit organizations, the work they do and the dedication of those involved.

She returned to school, and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration in 2016, and Masters in Public Health in 2018 from Purdue University.

Emily served as the Director of Palliative Care at Weinstein Hospice. While at Weinstein, Emily had the opportunity to work alongside Aviv Older Adult's Geriatric Care Managers, coordinating care for clients as well as with AgeWell.

Emily is happy to bring her knowledge, compassion, and passion to advocate clients’ needs to the Aviv team.
