Lauren Wishneff

Lauren Wishneff specializes in working with high school students, young adults, and adults dealing with emotional and behavioral struggles. She is certified in Somatic and Attachment Focused (SAFE) EMDR.

Sometimes people find it hard to put what they are experiencing into words. They may find themselves disliking parts of themselves that cause distress in their own lives. Lauren will assist clients in exploring their systems and identify negative core beliefs, somatic sensations, and behavioral patterns that constitute who they are today. In collaboration, clients will then leverage this new understanding to accomplish their goals and strive for their ideals. She uses EMDR, sand tray techniques, internal family systems techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, and person-centered therapy with her clients. All individuals are different, therefore, having more than one therapeutic intervention is important.

Lauren has five plus years of experience working with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder, and trauma. Lauren takes a strengths-based approach and works to join clients wherever they are in their therapeutic journey. She believes in supporting individuals to reach their potential and be their own agents of healing and change.
