Francenia is from Charlotte North Carolina but a native of Atlanta Georgia. She earned an associate degree in psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the University of North Carolina Charlotte, and a master’s degree in human services with a concentration in Christian counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.

Her experience as a human service professional spans over fifteen years. Before working for JF&CS as a case manager with AVIV Older Adults and Bridge to Stability, she worked as a youth crisis counselor for The Relatives Youth Crisis Center, in partnership with the Department of Social Services in Mecklenburg and surrounding counties, the Safe Place program for youth, the Mecklenburg County schools, and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. As a social worker with The Salvation Army Center of Hope she provided case management, housing stabilization, transitioning housing and emergency services for homeless single women, women with children, and fifty-five and older. She also worked with Mecklenburg County as a social worker with Coordinated Entry.

Francenia is enthusiastic about providing comfort and aid to all in need. She believes the greatest gift we can give to others is, “the gift of service.”
