Start the Jewish New Year off with a mitzvah and donate food to the JF&CS Kosher Food Pantry.
September is Hunger Action Month and the start of the JF&CS High Holiday Food Drive. The drive will be September 12 - October 18, with drop-off locations across the metro-Atlanta area. For more than 40 years, our Atlanta Jewish Community has donated food items during the high holidays. The food fills the JF&CS Food Pantry and provides needed supplies for many months.
During the Pandemic, JF&CS fed more than 7,000 Jewish community members, the average age of which was 70 years old. With higher prices on food, gas, and essentials, many community members may find themselves in need once again or for the first time ever.
Help increase food security in the Jewish community and in the broader communities around Atlanta. Our Kosher Food Pantry remains busier than ever. We need your help to continue to feed those most in need! Gather your family take them to the store, and help your kids pick out items to donate to the food pantry.
The most needed items include canned tuna, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned tomatoes, rice and pasta.
Please donate at JF&CS or one of our wonderful community partners. If you would like to host collection bins at your synagogue, please contact Stacy Fialkow at 770.677.9357.
