October 23 was an evening to remember as supporters of the Ben Massell Dental Clinic (BMDC) gathered for Bright Smiles, Brighter Futures. The dazzling event brought together volunteer dentists, community leaders, supporters, and friends at 42 West for one unforgettable cause: the historic Ben Massell Dental Clinic.
Guests mingled over delicious light bites and drinks, surrounded by the buzz of conversation and laughter that filled the room. The atmosphere was an electric reflection of the passion and dedication that define the BMDC community.
The highlight of the evening was a heartfelt program recognizing individuals who embody the spirit of service and compassion that drives BMDC’s mission.

Dr. Mollie Winston: Champion of Philanthropy
Barbara Jones: recognized for 50 years of dedicated service
Georgia State Representative Deborah Silcox: recognized for her community advocacy and support of BMDC’s mission
An Evening of Excitement and Purpose
“The energy this evening was inspiring,” said Dr. Lauren Abes, who served as event co-chair alongside Mike McDaniel for the second year. “Seeing so many people come together—volunteers, donors, and staff—all united around the same goal reminded me why I volunteer with BMDC.”
The live auction was a highlight of the night, featuring exclusive vacation packages, one-of-a-kind experiences, and luxury items. Friendly bidding wars broke out as guests competed for their favorite prizes, led by auctioneer Seth Weiner.
Every dollar raised at Bright Smiles, Brighter Futures goes to support the comprehensive care of the Ben Massell Dental Clinic. From cleanings and fillings to dentures and specialty treatments, the BMDC restores not only smiles, but confidence and dignity to patients who might otherwise go without.
