As the long days of summer begin to wind down, many families are feeling the mix of excitement and nervous energy that comes with a new school year. To ease the transition and start the year on a positive note, JF&CS is hosting a special Back-to-School Community Celebration on Sunday, August 17, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Held at the JF&CS offices in Dunwoody, this event is more than just a fun afternoon; it’s a chance for families to connect, create, and build emotional resilience together.
Join us for:
- Art projects for both kids and adults
- Wellness resources to support mental and emotional well-being
- A Back-to-School take-home kit
- Refreshments for the whole family
- Information about volunteer opportunities within our programs
Whether you're preparing a kindergartener or a high schooler for a new school year, this event is open to all families and groups with children and teens. Proceeds from the event go directly toward purchasing creative supplies for clinical programming within the Horwitz-Zusman Child & Family Center and Frances Bunzl Clinical Services. Your participation supports not only your own family, but many others as well.
How to Join:
Cost: $25 per family or group (up to five people)
If you can’t attend, you can still be part of the impact by donating to support JF&CS mental health services for children and families.
