A Real JF&CS Thanksgiving Story

JF&CS often receives calls from individuals who are in a desperate situation. A medical illness, loss of a job or other source of income can leave families without enough food for the week, or needing other necessities. JF&CS is happy to be able to offer bags of food from our Kosher Food Pantry, gas and grocery cards, as well as connect them to additional resources. Amy Maslia, Intake Manager, often gets heartfelt notes from these families who are thankful for our help. Below is an excerpt from a recent note from a grateful mother of two children.

"Dear JF&CS,
I'm writing to share with you my gratitude towards how you handled my financial hardship (food).I recently relocated from Pennsylvania to Georgia on September 3rd for a new job, and I have been experiencing significant challenges. I would like to thank you so much for giving me food to eat with my two children. May God bless you, and thanks for all your help through this difficult time in my life. Your kind gesture will go a long way."

We were so grateful to be able to help this young family, and so many more like them. It is through supporters like you that allow us to help those in need and to transform lives in the Atlanta community.

If you would to support our Kosher Food Pantry and other vital services that helps clients like this one, please donate to our Annual Campaign.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
