Mitzvah Day

Projects are filling up fast — don’t miss your chance to make an impact! Here are three on-campus projects you’ll definitely want to be part of:
- Caregiver Bags – Assemble gift bags filled with relaxing items and sweet treats to support JF&CS caregivers and DSPs, who give so much of their time to others. Your thoughtful touch can brighten their day and show them they’re truly appreciated.
- Gardening – Roll up your sleeves to refresh and beautify the JF&CS Sheryl S. Blechner and Family Giving Garden, creating a welcoming space for staff and clients to enjoy.
- Cooking – Prepare homemade meals that will go to the Zimmerman-Horowitz Independent Living Program (Z-H ILP) homes and Independence Works (IW) for clients and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to enjoy together. Your efforts provide more than food — they bring comfort, connection, and care. Delivery is handled by JF&CS professionals.
Sign up today to save your spot and join us for an afternoon of meaning, connection, and community.
After volunteering, keep the good vibes going at our happy hour at Bar{n} Booze {n} Bites. Happy Hour is exclusively for Mitzvah Day participants.
