Information
On June 13, JF&CS will be hosting Roots of Resilience, a healing program for survivors of domestic abuse. The event will be led by JF&CS's Shalom Bayit (peace in the home) program, with Tzipporah Gerson-Miller, LCSW, C-IAYT, RYT and Wendy Lipshutz, LSCW and Program Director for Shalom Bayit.
The program will begin with a healing service outside JF&CS' Dunwoody headquarters in the garden, where the Shalom Bayit tree resiliently blooms its beautiful purple flowers every spring, echoing the resiliency of survivors in the program. The tree was planted in 1998 in memory of victims of domestic violence and in honor of survivors.
Following the service, attendees will move inside for a program and bagel breakfast. This program is of no cost, but registration is required.
