Perinatal Mental Health Overview: Part Two

Information

Join Lynne McIntyre, LCSW, for the second class in a two-part series in perinatal mental health. This individual class counts for 1.5 Core CEU's, and costs $25, payable online. The class is attended via Zoom (a link will be sent to you following registration).

In this session, Lynne McIntyre will discuss the different types of perinatal losses, beyond miscarriage and stillbirth, incidence of perinatal losses in general population and special populations, and the cultural responses to perinatal losses and how they affect a pregnant person's mental health and wellbeing. She will address how perinatal loss is a special kind of grief and will share psychotherapeutic interventions for perinatal loss. In addition, she will discuss beyond psychotherapy: what else can clients do to process and integrate their loss, and how can their therapist help them?
