Join Lynne McIntyre, LCSW, for the first class in a two-part series in perinatal mental health. This individual class counts for 1.5 Core CEU's, and costs $25, payable online. The class is attended via Zoom (a link will be sent to you following registration).
In this session, Lynne McIntyre will discuss the various presentations of Perinatal Mental Health (PMH) conditions, beyond "postpartum depression", including mental health in pregnancy, the incidence in the general public and special populations; review of risk factors, and the effects of PMH conditions on parent, infant, and dyad. She will explore how to talk to pregnant and postpartum people about perinatal mental health, differential diagnosis and distinction from "baby blues" and psychosis. She will illuminate the path to wellness; how moms get better and will discuss the most effective psychotherapy interventions for various PMH conditions.
