About Jay Cranman Chief Executive Officer

Jay Cranman is a nonprofit and community leader who has built his career connecting people, ideas, and resources to lift up Atlanta. As CEO of Jewish Family & Career Services, he leads a team helping people across the city get the care and support they need to thrive. This includes mental health services, support for older adults, dental care for those in need, and programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Before this role, Jay spent nearly a decade as CEO of Hands On Atlanta, growing it into one of the most recognized volunteer and civic engagement organizations in the country. Outside of work, Jay lends his leadership to nonprofit boards, classrooms, and mentoring programs, while trying to keep up with his wife and two teenage sons.

Jay's Bio

Jay Cranman is a nonprofit and community leader who has built his career connecting people, ideas, and resources to lift up Atlanta.

As CEO of Jewish Family & Career Services, he leads a team helping people across the city get the care and support they need to thrive. This includes mental health services, support for older adults, dental care for those in need, and programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Rooted in Jewish values but open to all, JF&CS operates nearly 30 specialized programs, reaching thousands of individuals and families across the metro area.

Previously, Jay served nearly a decade as CEO of Hands On Atlanta, growing it into one of the most recognized volunteer and civic engagement organizations in the country.

Outside the office, Jay lends his leadership to boards, classrooms, and mentoring programs. He serves as Board Chair of the Emory University Board of Visitors, sits on the board of the Atlanta Public Schools Foundation, and is a Nonprofit Fellow in Residence at Georgia Tech’s Institute for Leadership and Social Impact. He also mentors startups and emerging leaders through programs like Techstars and Leadership Atlanta. Above all, he is a husband to Brendalee and dad to two sons, Noah and Eli, who remind him daily that leadership starts closest to home.
