Shelley Miller, Careers Director, and Amy Albertson, Careers Coordinator, saw an increased need for career guidance among job seekers that started in March of 2020. According to Albertson, "We have found during the pandemic that many people are re-evaluating their career path and looking for a change. Some are unsure of what steps to take next."

Miller and Albertson took the initiative to set up a Speaker Event series with Andrea Holyfield, Career Management and Transition Coach. Andrea has more than a decade of coaching, consulting, and training experience including volunteering each month as the JF&CS LinkedIn Workshop Facilitator.

Miller says, “The pandemic has given many people pause to re-evaluate their careers and their lives. We have found this to be a common theme throughout the conversations we have with our clients. Many people though, are unsure how to change their path forward. Andrea Holyfield who has been volunteering as our LinkedIn Workshop Facilitator for over 5 years is also a Career Management and Transition Coach and has been having the same conversations with her clients. We thought how wonderful it would be to be able to join forces and offer Andrea’s expertise to the community.”
