Miranda (she/they) is a play therapist who specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ youth and their families around identity exploration, trauma, anxiety, depression, suicide, and building healthy relationships. Miranda uses an Adlerian approach to therapy and incorporates techniques from play therapy, sand tray therapy, expressive arts, and therapeutically applied tabletop role-playing games. They also work from a culturally humble perspective to help clients of all backgrounds receive affirming care that celebrates their identities and experiences.Miranda is a play therapist, Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She completed her masters degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling at Georgia State University. Before counseling, she worked extensively with children and families as a camp counselor, nanny, homeschool co-op teacher, and after-school activities director.
