Carin's Bio

Carin is a clinical intern at JF&CS, providing counseling services to those in need. She is a Licensed Social Worker. Her educational background includes a B.A. in psychology from South University and an MSW from The University of Alabama. Currently, she is Ph.D. candidate at The University of Alabama. Her research and career focus is family of origin violence and the intergenerational transmission of violence. Her clinical focus is interpersonal violence and child maltreatment. Her internships at a child advocacy center and DFCS inspired her desire to refine intervention approaches to family violence, as well as create new prevention programs to stop violence before it starts.
